💚What is a YoniCup?
YoniCup is a type of reusable feminine hygiene product. It’s a small, flexible funnel-shaped cup made of rubber or silicone that you insert into your vagina to catch and collect period fluid.
Cups can hold more blood than other methods, leading many women to use them as an eco-friendly alternative to tampons. And depending on your flow, you can wear a YoniCup for up to 12 hours.
💚-Before you put in your YoniCup
When you use the YoniCup for the first time, it may feel uncomfortable. But “greasing” your cup can help make the process smooth. Before you put in your cup, lubricate the rim with our Yoni Oil. Wet YoniCup is much easier to insert.
💚-How to put in your YoniCup in.
If you can put in a tampon, you should find it relatively easy to insert the YoniCup. Just follow these steps to use a cup:
Wash your hands thoroughly.Apply water our Yoniverse Oil to the rim of the cup.Tightly fold the YoniCup in half, holding it in one hand with the rim facing up.Insert the cup, rim up, into your vagina like you would a tampon without an applicator. It should sit a few inches below your cervix.Once the cup is in your vagina, rotate it. It will spring open to create an airtight seal that stops leaks.
You shouldn’t feel your YoniCup if you’ve inserted the cup correctly. You should also be able to move, jump, sit, stand, and do other everyday activities without your cup falling out. If you’re having trouble putting in your cup, speak with your doctor.
💚-When to take your YoniCup out
You can wear a YoniCup for 6 to 12 hours, depending on whether or not you have a heavy flow. This means you can use a cup for overnight protection.
You should always remove your YoniCup by the 12-hour mark. If it becomes full before then, you’ll have to empty it ahead of schedule to avoid leaks.
💚-How to take your YoniCup out
To take out a YoniCup, just follow these steps:
Wash your hands thoroughly.Place your index finger and thumb into your vagina. Pull the stem of the cup gently until you can reach the base. Pinch the base to release the seal and pull down to remove the cup. Once it’s out, empty the cup into the sink or toilet.
💚Cup aftercare
YoniCup should be washed and wiped clean before being reinserted into your vagina. Your cup should be emptied at least twice a day.
Reusable menstrual cups are durable and can last for 6 months to 10 years with proper care. Throw away disposable cups after removal.

Why Switch?
5 reasons you should buy a YoniCup.
1.Less waste, Eco-friendly‼️
136 kilos. 136 bloody kilos - that's how much waste the average person creates in a lifetime using disposable period products.
2. Less $$$, Cost-effective‼️
Want to save that money? The YoniCup can be reused again and again (we'd recommend changing it once per year). No more spending tons of money on tampons and pads.
3.More time‼️
Up to 8-hrs protection.
The YoniCup can be worn for up to 6-12 hours, depending on your menstrual flow.
4.Chemical-free, Happy vagina‼️
It's BPA-free, with no added chemicals, plastics, or dyes.
5.Medical grade silicone, No nastiness‼️
The YoniCup is the better choice for your body.
Warning: Always store in a dry and cool place and avoid exposure to sun light, or extreme high temperatures.

💚💚FAQS: 💚💚
You have questions, we have answers
💚-Does using the YoniCup protect me from unwanted pregnancy?
No. The YoniCup is not a birth control device and should not be used for this purpose. The YoniCup is regulated by the US FDA, solely for use as menstrual care protection and should only be used during menstruation.
💚- What is Toxic Shock Syndrome?
Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is a rare, but serious disease caused by toxin-producing strains of the Staphylococcus aureus bacterium. In extremely rare cases, the strain may present itself with infection linked to the use of internal menstrual care products or as a result of surgery or burns. When exposed to the strain, TSS may affect a small number of people (including men, women and children). As we are not medically staffed, we recommend talking to your doctor with regards to any gynecological/medical concerns or conditions. Our User Guide and website include detailed instructions for use and maintenance, and it is important to use the YoniCup pursuant to these directions. Use caution to thoroughly wash your hands prior to insertion and removal and wash the cup with warm water and the YoniWash at least 2-3 times a day (every 8 hours). It is also recommended that you boil your YoniCup in between cycles. We recommend that you consult your physician prior to using the YoniCup if you have been previously diagnosed with TSS. Discontinue use of the YoniCup and contact your health practitioner if you experience any of the following symptoms: sudden vomiting, diarrhea, high fever, headache, sunburn-like rash, muscle aches, confusion or seizures.
💚-How long can I wear my YoniCup?
The YoniCup can be worn for up to 8 consecutive hours, depending on your flow. It should be emptied, washed and rinsed a minimum of two to three times per 24-hour period.
💚-How much blood does it hold?
Our YoniCup Size Smal holds one full ounce of menstrual flow (20 ml) and Size Large holds just over one ounce (32 ml). For comparison, the average regular sized tampon holds about 5 ml of menstrual flow. The measurement lines on your YoniCup help you keep track of your flow and report details to a health care provider if needed.
💚-I notice an odor when I use tampons or pads. Is there an odor with the YoniCup?
Typically, menstrual flow only begins to develop an odor when it is exposed to air, which means that you shouldn't experience the same odor that is present with tampons and pads. However, an odor could develop if you wear the YoniCup longer than the recommended 6-12 hours without removing and cleaning.
💚-Can I wear the YoniCup when I _______?
You can wear the YoniCup for any activity you participate in while menstruating, except for vaginal intercourse. This includes swimming, scuba diving, camping, sleeping, running, yoga, weightlifting, gymnastics – you name it! If you are using the correct size and have inserted the YoniCup correctly, it should not move out of place or leak no matter your activity level. NOTE: The YoniCup should be used during menstruation only, and should not be inserted at any other time.
💚-My YoniCup has started to change color. Should I replace it?
Over time, your YoniCup may change in color with use. This is common, and nothing to worry about – it does not necessarily mean you need to replace it! However, if the discoloration bothers you, boiling it as per the User Guide instructions may help.
💚-How should I get ready to use it for the first time?
Before your first YoniCup use, submerge the YoniCup in an open pot of boiling water for 5-10 minutes, using a stainless steel pot that is designated to boil your YoniCup. This is a mandatory first step. It is not necessary to boil your YoniCup between cycles, as regular cleaning can be sufficient. For more information on proper care and cleaning view our care and cleaning page.
💚-Can I have sex with the YoniCup in?
As the YoniCup sits low in the vaginal canal, it cannot be worn during vaginal intercourse and should be removed before engaging in this kind of sexual activity
💚-Are there any special circumstances where I shouldn't use my YoniCup?
If you have any medical concerns or conditions, please speak to your healthcare provider prior to using the YoniCup. There is no known increased risk of yeast infections with the use of menstrual cups. However, if you have a vaginal infection, it is best to discontinue use of the YoniCup until the infection has cleared up completely. If you used your YoniCup while you had a yeast infection, we recommend replacing the cup with a new one. Never use your YoniCup at the same time that you are using a topical medication in your vaginal area. The medication may compromise the silicone of your YoniCup and ruin it. If this happens, please replace the cup with a new one. The YoniCup should not be used for postnatal bleeding. Please contact your physician before using any internal period care product after childbirth. For further questions concerning vaginal infections and use of a menstrual cup, please contact a physician or healthcare provider.
💚-I have an IUD (intrauterine device)/NuvaRing. Can I still use a YoniCup?
The YoniCup is worn low at the base of the vagina and away from the cervix, which means that it should not interfere with an internal birth control device. However, please use caution when using any internal menstrual care product with an IUD, as there is the possibility that the IUD can be dislodged, depending on how recently your IUD was implanted. As with any gynecological concerns, please consult with your health care provider prior to using any kind of internal menstrual care product, including a menstrual cup. When using the YoniCup, it is important to carefully follow the directions in our User Guide, paying close attention to inserting the YoniCup low in the vaginal canal and breaking the seal (suction) before removal. Many of our customers use the YoniCup with an IUD or NuvaRing® simultaneously, but we recommend that you become familiar with your birth control device’s risks (such as the body expelling the IUD, etc.). Our blog post on using the YoniCup with an IUD can provide more information.
💚-Could I have an allergic reaction to the YoniCup?
It is extremely rare to have an allergy or sensitivity to silicone. Studies indicate that silicone is biocompatible with the body, which is why silicone has been used in healthcare applications for over 50 years. If you do experience skin sensitivity, immediately discontinue use and contact your health care provider.
💚-I have a latex allergy. Can I use the YoniCup?
The YoniCup is made from durable top quality, medical grade silicone that is suitable for use by those with latex allergies, because it is nitrosamine and latex-free.
💚-Is it messy?
Using the YoniCup does require you to get a little more up close and personal with your flow, but it is clean and comfortable to use. Be sure to wash your hands well before inserting and removing, as well as after you're finished reinserting.
💚-When should I replace my YoniCup?
As the YoniCup is a personal hygiene product, we recommend that you inspect your cup regularly for signs of deterioration such as a sticky or powdery film, severe discoloration or odor, etc. If you detect any of these signs or if you experience irritation, we recommend you replace your YoniCup with a new one. Depending on factors such as vaginal pH, how well and often the cup is cleaned, what cleansing agents are used, etc., the lifespan may vary. Our general guideline is to replace it once a year, but ultimately, it is up to the consumer to decide when it is necessary to replace the cup. Our Care and Cleaning instructions can provide you with some helpful tips for caring for your YoniCup.
💚-What if I can't get it out?
It can take some time to get the hang of insertion and removal. However, the vaginal canal is an elastic, muscular tube only about four (4) - five (5) inches (10.2 - 12.7 cm) long - there is nowhere for the YoniCup to get -lost- inside you, as the vagina does not connect to other parts of the body. When inserted correctly, the YoniCup should sit low at the base of the canal, away from the cervix, making it possible for you to reach the stem and grip the base to remove it. Making sure you keep your muscles relaxed for removal is key!
💚-How do I clean my YoniCup in a public washroom?
When in a public washroom, some consumers are not comfortable washing their YoniCup as normal at the sink. If this is the case, wash your hands thoroughly before entering the stall, empty the contents of your YoniCup into the toilet and simply use a dry or damp tissue to clean the cup. At the next convenient time, clean as per the User Guide instructions. Always wash your YoniCup using potable water that is safe to drink, including when traveling or camping.
💚-I bought a new YoniCup. How do I dispose of my old one?
To dispose of your YoniCup, thoroughly wash the cup, cut it up into smaller pieces, and dispose in the trash. Most regions do not have convenient access to silicone recycling facilities. However, silicone starts out as sand and degrades over time, depending on the temperature, anaerobic activity and moisture in the landfill, which means that your YoniCup will eventually break down.
